Beginner Classes:

 

Introduction to Yoga: Yoga has both preventative and therapeutic benefits. It has been shown to offer both physical and mental benefits to the body and the mind. This class teaches you the basics of yoga, beginning with breath and proper alignment. Great for first timers and those with limited experience.

 

Yin: Most popular styles of Yoga are Yang in nature. They emphasize muscular effort and repetition. We also need to learn to relax, be patient, quiet ourselves and focus on the skeleton and its joints. That's where Yin Yoga comes into play. This unheated yoga class is designed to open up deep connective tissues and lubricate joints. As you incorporate this class into your yoga practice, the body experiences new depths in postures, deeper ranges of motion and even an increased flow of energy. Yin is for all fitness levels, beginners to advanced students.

 

TruFusion 75: Our hottest class is great for beginners but can also take the seasoned hot yoga practitioner to the next level. This 75 minute class uses functional command to move students in and out of postures clearly and seamlessly, has options for advanced modifications and the ability to use tools, creating a challenging and rewarding experience that encourages each student to reach their full potential. With longevity for practice and a focus on the physical as well as the spiritual body, this is an exhilarating experience that will leave everyone feeling revitalized. [Similar to the Bikram Method] All levels of practice welcome!

 

Introduction to Kettlebells: New to Kettlebells? This mini-workshop will introduce you to proper form and technique for the basic kettlebell lifts and movement. 

 

Donation Classes:

Our Donation classes are an opportunity for any certified instructor of (all experience levels) to trial a time or class in the studio. If it is listed as a donation clas the instructor is volunteering their time and we encourage students to reward their instructor with gratuity.

Each time you attend a donation class you are voting for a class time and that instructor. if enough people attend on a regular basis that class time will become a permanent class time on the schedule. So if you like that time and instructor, bring your friends!

TruFusion 60 Express: Our hottest express class is challenging for beginners and tailored towards the seasoned hot yoga practitioner due to the speed of transition from one pose to another. This 60 minute cardiovascular class uses functional command to move students in and out of postures clearly and seamlessly, has options for advanced modifications and the ability to use tools, creating a challenging and rewarding experience that encourages each student to reach their full potential. With longevity for practice and a focus on the physical as well as the spiritual body, this is an exhilarating experience that will leave everyone feeling revitalized. [similar to the Bikram method] Students familiar with TruFusion recommended.

The class uses functional command to move students in and out of postures clearly and seamlessly, has options for advanced variations, and the ability to use tools creating a challenging and rewarding experience that encourages each student to reach their full potential. With a longevity for practice and a focus on the physical as well as the spiritual body this is an exhilarating experience that will leave everyone feeling revitalized. [similar to the Bikram method] Experience with hot yoga recommended. 

 

Hot Power Flow Yoga: Be prepared for a rapid flow that will tone your body, gain flexibility, open your heart, body and mind to all the possibilities that lie within you. Hot Power Flow typically begins with a Sun Salutation warm-up series, emphasizing the importance of connecting breath with movement. Class will incorporate more challenging postures such as creative standing balance, arm balancing and inversions. There will be modifications and variations offered for all poses so that the intensity and challenge is up to the individual. This class generally derives influences from Baptiste, Barkan Method, Ashtanga and Iyengar with no predetermined sequence. Be prepared to have fun, sweat, tone and break through internally perceived physical and mental limitations.

 

Soulful Sunday (Hot Power Flow): Discover the wisdom of your body in this heartfelt "Soulful Sunday" celebration of mind, movement, and breath. Enjoy 75 minutes of hot vinyasa; to the beats of modern, meaningful, classic tunes.

 

Invigorate: This heated set sequence power vinyasa class has been specifically designed to deliver a foundation of asanas to be used in our range of other power vinyasa classes and provide a stepping-stone to your Ashtanga practice. This power vinyasa class has been broken into four parts; flexibility, balance, power and inversions. It will connect movement to breathe, build strength and stamina, develop adaptability and put the power of self into personal purpose.

 

YinFused: This heated yoga class is a combination of vinyasa and yin to provide the best of both worlds. Students get to build cardiovascular fitness, strength, power and endurance from the vinyasa segment and improve flexibility, rehabilitate injury, and cultivate stillness of mind from the yin segment. Our YinFused class is fabulous addition to your yoga practice balancing the best of yin and yang classes.

 

TruYin: Our TruYin class uses the principles of traditional Yin adding heat and a cool vibe for those who like to stretch and enjoy a relaxing sweat. Most popular styles of Yoga are Yang in nature. They emphasize muscular effort and repetition. We also need to learn to relax, be patient, quiet ourselves and focus on the skeleton and its joints. That's where Yin Yoga comes into play. This heated yoga class allows the therapeutic nature of heat to help your flexibility increase while still targeting deep connective tissue, joints, and ligaments. As you incorporate this class into your yoga practice, the body experiences new depths in postures, deeper ranges of motion and even an increased flow of energy. TruYin is for all fitness levels, beginners to advanced students.

Heated Bootcamp: 

Tru Barefoot Bootcamp: This class is a true test of mobility, endurance and resilience through the combination of yoga, Pilates, kettlebells and other movement drills in a heated room. Athleticism will be challenged as new heights are accomplished. This is an efficient and effective use of time to build a mobile, strong, powerful physique.

 

Heated Pilates: 

TruHot Pilates: This class combines core-building pilates exercises, high-intensity interval training and cardio.  Conducted in a heated room, this high-energy class builds strength and endurance.

 

TruHot Pilates + Sculpt: All the cardio and core-strengthening of Tru Hot Pilates with the addition of props and tools to add muscle definition.

 

TruHot Pilates 2.0: This class combines core-building pilates exercises, high-intensity interval training and cardio. Conducted in a heated room, this high-energy class builds strength and endurance. This class also uses bands and weights and incorporates more advanced pilates drills.

Ashtanga Vinyasa: Ashta meaning "8" anga meaning "limb", Ashtanga literally means eight limbed practice. Founded by Krishnamacharya and given to Guruji Pattabhi Jois. It is a set series of postures linked through vinyasa. Each posture specifically designed to lead to the next. Overall there are 6 complete series, beginning with Primary, or "first" series. First series or Yoga Chikitsa is "yoga therapy". Ashtanga yoga is the most physically and mentally challenging practices, as it asks you to be disciplined and practice six days a week honoring all moon days (first and new) as the body is made mostly of water. It balances great incredible strength with great flexibility, and is one of the only practices that equally does so. All "power" or "vinyasa" yogas are derived or a hybrid from the ashtanga system. Vinyasa literally meaning linked with breath, ashtanga also uses trishtana or the 3, pranayama (breath), Drishti (focus), Bandha (valve/lock). Always beginning with the opening chant we will do call and response. "Practice and all is coming" -Guruji 

This class is all levels.

Ashtanga Led Primary Series: This style of yoga comes from an ancient Sanskrit text called the Yoga Kurunta. The primary series purifies and heals the body. It is a detox for the muscles and organs and removes pain and impurities. It is the most rigorous form of yoga and a complete work out.Practicing Ashtanga provides an exceptional level of strength, flexibility, and stamina along with a calm and peaceful mind.The body becomes lean and toned as a result.Ashtanga involves a prescribed sequence of postures with breath work, sense withdrawal, concentration and meditation.

 

Ashtanga (Mysore): Ashtanga in Sanskrit means “eight-limbed” and is a set yoga series created by K. Pattabhi Jois. The primary series allows students to practice a series of Ashtanga with safe guidance and a dedicated schedule to developing all aspects of a yoga practice. The eight limbs are restraint, observance, posture, breath control, sense withdrawal, concentration, meditative absorption and ecstasy (or samadhi, which means to bring into harmony). Richard Freeman, a famed Ashtanga teacher, says the emphasis of the practice is on the correct performance of the third limb (posture) as a means of realizing all the limbs.

 

The Mysore class allows members to arrive anytime within a two hour period to complete the primary series under the watchful eye of the instructor, for tips, encouragement and amendments.

 

Tru Acro Yoga: This is an unregulated partner class in which we explore acrobatics, yoga, and thai massage all while encouraging the development of deeper levels of trust and communication between you and your partner.The program is unstructured and available for all skill levels. Partners are not required.In essence, this is a place where like minded yoga monkeys can gather together to laugh, share, play and enjoy each other’s company.  All are welcome!

 

 

Non-Heated Kettlebell:

Introduction to Kettlebells: New to Kettlebells? This mini-workshop will introduce you to proper form and technique for the basic kettlebell lifts and movement. 

 

Tru Kettlebell: This is the quintessential kettlebell class for beginners and intermediates. The kettlebell (KBell) is an ancient tool that shapes the body into a primal being with the physique of a decathlete. Gain mobility, endurance and strength while shredding fat and increasing muscle tone. This class covers the basics in detail including swings, deadlifts and presses, while focusing on the importance of safe lifting.

 

Kettlebell Fusion: This 60 minute class is a fusion of Kettlebells an yoga that is practiced in an unheated room.  No need to fret if you like to sweat because it will be generated through Kettlebell drills, such as the swing, clean, press, jerk and snatch. These exercises are sure to build functional strength while the yoga postures infused in the class improve flexibility and active recovery.  Become resilient!

 

Non-Heated TRX: 

TruTRX: Tru TRX uses suspension training drills to recruit all muscles and specifically engage the core muscles in the body.The TRX Suspension Trainer allows one to leverage gravity and bodyweight to perform over hundreds of exercises. This class contains mobility/flexibility, cardio and strength drills to complement the TRX experience. MAKE YOUR BODY YOUR MACHINE

 

TRX 2.0: 75 minute advanced TRX class, with NO introduction.
Prerequisite: Minimum 3 TRX classes taken at TRUFUSION, some adult language in music. 

 

TRX Bootcamp 60: This 60-minute class includes a fusion of strength, conditioning and mobility drills using tools such as TRX, ultimate sandbags and mini-bands. Functional movement patterns are consistent in the class while the programming can vary.

 

Non-Heated Trigger Point:

Tru Trigger Point: Using the Trigger Point GRID(has a 3-dimensional surface whereas traditional foam rollers have a flat surface and prohibit blood flow at the point of pressure) to release tension created in the body from all areas. It is humbling and gratifying with a renewed level of calmness. This class offers preventative aspects as well as rehabilitative components. 

 

Non-Heated Battleropes:

Tru Battleropes: This 60-minute class combines the elements of Trigger Point Therapy and Battle Ropes, to deliver a "relaxing Metabolic response" that will surely challenge your will and stamina. Thirty minutes of Trigger Point Therapy on the GRID roller and 30 minutes of metabolic mayhem on Battleropes!
